Laura is a Melbourne based designer with a background in both communications and graphic design. She completed her Bachelor of Communication Design at Swinburne University in 2009 and since has dabbled in a variety of works. She was warmly accepted into the festival world with her Communications Internship at State of Design Festival which took place in July 2010. Following the State of Design Festival, Laura took on the role of Communications Coordinator at the first Unlimited: Designing for the Asia Pacific Triennial which launched in Brisbane in October 2010. After which she began freelancing atStudio Round.

2011 saw the beginning of a collaboration with Emma Telfer and the Office of Good Design; curating the launch event of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival: Fashion Full Stop, as well as the opening of Pin-up gallery, an initiative of Fleur Watson & Martyn Hook, where Laura took station as Communications Coordinator. In April, Laura headed to Cambodia to volunteer for 6 weeks at the Cambodian Children’s Painting Project which was an amazing an inspiring experience. On return from Cambodia, Laura started immediately as Marketing Communications Coordinator at Melbourne Open House alongside Emma Telfer, and helped grow the event to a new level, as well as freelancing for Social Media clients and continuing her work at Pin-up.

When Melbourne Open House wrapped up for the year, Laura joined Ewan McEoin at Studio Propeller to work on a few projects including the branding, identity and the website building of Creating Shared Value and the latest project, The Locavore Edition: A Field Guide to Victorian Produce.

Laura is currently located at The Compound Interest: Centre for the Applied Arts, and is working alongside Ewan McEoin and Emma Telfer.
